These guys have got cajones!

CAIRO, Egypt - The leader of an al-Qaida umbrella group in Iraq threatened to wage war against Iran unless it stops supporting Shiites in Iraq within two months, according to an audiotape released Sunday.

Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, who leads the group Islamic State in Iraq, said his Sunni fighters have been preparing for four years to wage a battle against Shiite-dominated Iran.

"We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shiite government and to stop direct and indirect intervention ... otherwise a severe war is waiting for you," he said in the 50-minute audiotape. The tape, which could not be independently verified, was posted on a Web site commonly used by insurgent groups.

Reminds of the joke i use to make around the house feed the goldfish to the birds, the birds to the cat, the cat to the dog and then get rid of the dog.
Let Iran get rid of Al quida then get rid of Iran, these people ,muslims, islams whatever they call themselves have got to be the stupidest people on the planet. Only they can allow a country to come across the Atlantic and have them killing eachother. If they dont know how to live together, recognize themselves as brothers and sisters, rather, allow themselves to be played for fools, then they deserve their fate.

Since the US always chooses sides when oil is involved, which side will it be?

You can bet these are the first steps towards distabilizing Iran. The religious factions will be tested in their power structure to stand united or fall to the the violence that will be perpotrated by terrorists groups funded by the west. I wont say Al Aqaida because i'll be damn if i know who Al quaida is anymore.

Al-Qaeda is just a catch all phrase now. If someone has a bomb in the car, it is al-Qaeda. But if the US had to choose sides would this story make a difference?

An overwhelming majority of Iranians, 70 percent, favor normal relations and trade with the United States, a nationwide poll conducted by Terror Free Tomorrow has found.

In return for normal relations with the US, most Iranians were willing to recognize Israel and Palestine as independent states, ending Iranian supports for armed groups in Iraq, and adopt a transparent nuclear policy, Terror Free Tomorrow President Ken Ballen wrote in the Wall Street Journal.

And now it calls on supporters for a war against Pakistan. They are over-extending themselves a bit.

CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida's No. 2 issued a new videotape on Wednesday calling for Pakistanis to join the jihad, or holy war, in revenge for the attack by Pakistan's army on a radical mosque.

Ayman al-Zawahri's 4 minutes and 24 address was entitled "The Aggression against Lal Masjid" and entirely focused on the recent clashes between Islamic students and Pakistan's army at the mosque.

In the Persian Gulf, the power and pride of Iran, both historical, religious, cultural, and national, is much greater than anything AQ can possibly boast.
The Iranians are the Persians, and they have never forgotten that. Never. Their pride in themselves, their coherence and their abilities is well warranted and as far as I'm concerned, I'd support them against AQ and even against the Saudis any day. They consider Arabs to be small rats that can only raid things. As far as I'm concerned, we should withdraw all our support from Saudi Arabia and Iraq, support Iran, and then let the chips fall where they may.
If BinLaden wants his country to stand alone against the Iranians, I say we should give that to him. And then make sure to set the responsibility for the subsequent and assured massive losses squarely on his and other Wahabbists' heads.
Al-Zawahiri deserves a vacation in Teheran, don't you think?
